Paid Search Spotlight: PPC News & Tips
This week, we dive into the impact of zero-click searches on your organic reach and CTR, with Google Gemini leading the charge in this “new normal.” Plus, the EU is taking action against Google’s AI Overviews, calling it a misuse of content without publisher consent. Finally, our PPC tip of the day: think of your paid ads like dating profiles—first impressions count, so make them clear, bold, and action-oriented!
Zero-Click Searches & How To Prepare For It
Is your organic reach dropping on Google? Since the emergence of zero-click searches (i.e., when a user performs a search and never clicks through to a website, widely adopted by Google Gemini), many are seeing drops in CTR rats. Find out what you can do about this, as it is an unfortunate “new normal” that we will have to adapt to. Want to win the battle? Find out how here.

The EU’s Beef With Google AI Overviews
As we all fall apart at the seams with the emergence of Google’s AI Overviews, the EU is taking action! Stating that it is a “misuse of content without the publisher’s consent,” it seems that, finally, someone is taking action. Google’s defense?

Start learning AI in 2025
Everyone talks about AI, but no one has the time to learn it. So, we found the easiest way to learn AI in as little time as possible: The Rundown AI.
It's a free AI newsletter that keeps you up-to-date on the latest AI news, and teaches you how to apply it in just 5 minutes a day.

PPC Tip of the Day:
Remember, your paid ads are like dating profiles—first impressions matter! If your ad copy isn’t clear and your call-to-action isn’t enticing, you’ll end up swiping left on potential customers. Keep it simple, bold, and make them want to take the next step (just not like that, unless you're selling romance novels).

Australia is considering a law that could ban social media use for anyone under 16, starting in December, though youth are pushing back. What will this mean for digital marketers? Plus, we’ve got insights on how to improve your B2B email marketing strategy, backed by Forbes, and a helpful organic tip on email segmentation to boost engagement. Read on for the full scoop!
Although it has not yet passed, a law will take effect in December in Australia that bans anyone under the age of 16 from using social media. Yes, we said the same thing: “What?!” But of course, said youth are pushing back. Will this initiative succeed, and what impact will it have on digital marketers?

You’ve Been Doing B2B Email Marketing Wrong
A Forbes article found that there is a more effective way to utilize B2B email marketing. With email still representing a significant portion of marketing efforts, it is time we all recognize that things have changed. This is less of a news story and more of a rather brilliant guide on how to implement a B2B email strategy properly. Want to learn more?
Organic Tip of the Day:
Segment your email list like you're sorting your laundry. Don’t mix your delicates with your heavy-duty items. Personalization and targeted content can significantly improve engagement rates. The more relevant your message, the higher the chances your subscribers won’t just open your email but also take action. No one likes a one-size-fits-all approach—so don’t give it to your audience!

POLL OF THE WEEK
We usually run polls that are a bit more serious than this, but as a professional courtesy, we decided to do something more fun. Vote below: how long before robots rule the earth? The results will be answered in our next newsletter. Vote below.

EDITOR’S NOTES
As a digital marketer of 18 years, I believe we have reached a paradigm shift. I have never seen such rapid, albeit reckless, adjustments to the way things are performed. We all need to pause for a moment, sit down, and collectively think: where does this lead us?
In other words, with so much change occurring in diverse industry verticals, we need to plan a bit more carefully. We can continue to adapt to new changes with PPC and organic marketing, but at some point, I genuinely believe we will find ourselves trapped by them.
