Paid Search Spotlight: PPC News & Tips
This week, we dive into the growing rift between what Google and Meta recommend and what advertisers actually trust. With 83% expressing frustration, it seems the age of "just broad match it" might be losing credibility. We also question the foundations of paid search strategy itself—are we strategically targeting or just getting lucky? Plus, don’t miss our PPC Tip of the Day, where we remind you that unless your audience is your mom and a few bots, “Click Here!” probably isn’t your best CTA.
Google & Meta Advertisers Reach Common Ground
In a recent poll, 83% of Meta and Google advertisers reported discontent with said platforms’ suggestions. As an example, Google often recommends contacting their support team. When you do, have you ever been told to use broad match keywords even though you KNOW that’s not the right way to go? In this article, it is discussed.

How Well Does This Work…Really?
A rather caustic question: Does paid search strategy actually exist? Though we always seek to plan out our ad groups and keywords, we rarely think whether these strategies are actually working. Is it a strategy, or blind luck? In this article, Andy Goodwin lays it down.

Discover tips to talk smarter to ChatGPT and other AI tools. Plus, we’re keeping a close watch on some sneaky changes in email marketing regulations that Google and others are rolling out — things are getting a little tricky. And don’t miss today’s Organic Tip: write for humans, not bots, and watch your Google rankings climb.
Learn How To Be A Prompt Engineer!
With AI at its forefront, prompt engineering is the way to go. Recent sources found that only 26% of individuals understand how to talk to ChatGPT to get the best results. There is, indeed, an art behind how you talk to a chatbot or a GenAI platform. Learn some great tips on prompt engineering here.

Changes On The Email Marketing Forefront
Though a bit outdated, we thought we would share something from May. This is something Google and other email platforms have been slowly rolling out, and we have maintained a vigilant eye on it. Now, it’s getting a bit sketchy. Want to learn more?
Organic Tip of the Day:
Google doesn’t rank your site because it likes you—it ranks it because it understands you. Clear up your headers, write like a human, and stop stuffing keywords like it’s Thanksgiving dinner: less fluff, more relevance = better rankings.

POLL OF THE WEEK
With all this discussion about artificial intelligence comes an important question:
How do you feel about using ChatGPT in your daily work? We know that more people are searching for information on ChatGPT than Google, but is this a good thing or a bad thing? Instead, where does the line between “ethics” and “value” get drawn? Results will be given out in our next newsletter.

EDITOR’S NOTES
I once spent 2 hours talking to a chatbot. We had a conversation, and it even wanted to go out to dinner with me. It turns out that AI is very shy, but I was able to warm it up. We had a great time, shared some facts, and I asked some thought-provoking questions. The date was over, and though we both knew we wouldn’t call each other again, we did have a good time.
